Hospitality & racing diary - September
30th September
Even though there has been no racing happening at Windsor this month, the racecourse has been a hive of activity as IOG Saltex (Institute of Groundsmanship) took over, completely covering the centre of the course and grounds with over 400 exhibitors stands and demonstrations of the latest innovations in grounds care, sports facilities, amenities, landscaping and estate management. The hive of activity continued with the Ultimate Wedding Show and the Classic & Performance Cars Festival both on 25th.
It was great to see the racecourse buzzing with action, although I do miss the familiar clip clop of horses' hooves past my office window!
But after the short break we're back to our old tricks and gearing up for our afternoon meetings in October!
Racing returns to Windsor on 3rd October for the first of three afternoon fixtures throughout the month. Wrap up warm (although with this weather we're having it still feels like summer!) and come join us when gates open two hours before the first race as the bars and Castle Restaurant will all be open so you can enjoy the atmosphere whilst selecting your winners from the racecard.
