What To Wear To The Races

The Place To Be Seen

Royal Windsor Racecourse is the place to be seen, and with two enclosures we offer a destination for all racegoers to enjoy the action. The Club Enclosure has the prime position next to the winning post and has a dedicated big screen for all the racing action. The Club Enclosure is our premier location and, accordingly, racegoers often choose to adopt a smarter style. For example, we recommend smart jeans or tailored shorts and a collared shirt for the gentlemen. Our only stipulation is that sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress are not permitted. Smart trainers are allowed.

In the winter months for jumps racing, we suggest smart jumpers and jeans. Many of our racegoers like to opt for tweed in the winter for its warmth.

With the hotly contested Gentlemen’s Day and Ladies Day best dressed competitions on offer, why not push the boat out and enter to win some luxury prizes?

Our priority at Royal Windsor is making sure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us. We would remind all racegoers that race meetings at Royal Windsor are predominantly outdoor events, and that they are mindful of the weather when deciding what to wear.
