There are a multitude of ways to travel to Windsor Racecourse. When we asked Mike Parcej, a friend of the racecourse and passionate horse racing fan, here's what he had to say:

"The only racecourse in the UK accessible by boat as a form of public transport!! However more conventionally, the numbers 103, 2, 702, 703 and 8 all drop off on Maidenhead Road, the A308, by the racecourse entrance - the most frequent of which is the No 8 which departs every 30 mins from Windsor Parish Church. Also the 703 Flightline link bus, and the No 2 service to Dedworth - not so frequent however. The best walking route is along the Thames towpath until the dual carriageway, then under the flyover and straight on - racecourse entrance on the right."

From Heathrow Terminal 5 (for Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express and Piccadilly line)

Catch the number 8 or 703 buses to Windsor Boys School, which is just a short walk away. Alternatively, you can travel on-demand by air-conditioned Go2Gate minibuses which serve Vale Road, just opposite the entrance gate to the racecourse. Download the Go2Gate App to book your ride. Select “Vale Road 154 Southbound” as your destination. More details at www.heathrow.com/go2gate.
