Gates open: 2:30pm
FA Cup Final (Manchester City v Manchester United) live on screen: From 2:30pm on the lawn*
First race: 5:35pm
Last race: 8:45pm
Vernon Kay live DJ set after racing: Approx. 9pm
Event finishes: 10pm
*Please note, the football match will no longer be shown once the first horse leaves the stables for the first race. Additionally, we operate a strict no sports attire dress code, which includes football merch. Our full dress code can be found here
Restaurant & Hospitality Information
Whilst gates open at 2:30pm, our 1866 Restaurant, Private Boxes and Hospitality areas will be open from 3:35pm.
Our 1866 Restaurant will accept walk-ups on the day, though we highly recommend booking this in advance to avoid disappointment.
The Royal Club will also accept walk-ups for our Italian inspired menu. However, the bottomless drinks package will not be available.
Travel Information
As with all our Summer Saturdays, we get extremely busy, so we recommend arriving early to secure a free parking spot. Our free parking operates on a first come, first served basis. If you require accessible parking, please speak to our stewards or get in contact with our racecourse team ahead of the day.
We advise customers car share where possible to ease traffic. You should plan for traffic and travel accordingly.
Conveniently located 1.5 miles from Windsor town centre the racecourse is easily accessible and well signposted from junction 6 on the M4 and junction 3 on the M3. If using sat-nav please use the postcode SL4 5EZ.
One transport option that sets us apart is our incredible River Boat in partnership with French Brothers. River boats depart Windsor Promenade (opposite Brown’s restaurant) from 2:15pm and every 10/15 minutes up until the second race. Boats return to Windsor Promenade from the racecourse jetty from the penultimate race and every 10/15 minutes until 10:15pm.
There are some great public transport options available. We advise checking local bus and train schedules ahead of time as some services may be limited due to the Bank Holiday. Click here to view all local public transport options.
Weather
It looks like the sun will be on our side this weekend! With highs of 20 degrees predicted we advise racegoers to keep hydrated throughout the day.
Food and Drink
No food and drink or picnics are allowed to be brought into Windsor Racecourse. No alcohol is permitted to be brought onto site and will be confiscated.
We have a wide variety of food and drink concessions available, including Sprit Bar and the newly refurbished Jubilee Bar in the Club Enclosure. We also have a variety of concessions available including Rum Shack, seafood counter, duck and halloumi.
Security
We take security and everyone’s safety very seriously. There will be a strong security presence and you will be subject to a bag search on arrival.
Please be patient and limit the bags you bring. Remember, no food or drink can be brought into the racecourse.
We ask all visitors not to leave their bags unattended and to report anything suspicious to a member of staff.

Tickets
For ease, we ask customers to have their tickets ready on arrival to scan at the gates. We highly recommend booking tickets in advance to save time.
Kids go free to all our racedays. No need to book them a ticket - one will be issued on the day!
Payment
We are a cash-free site. All bars and eateries are card only.
Our Totes and Bookmarkers will accept cash and card. But please note there are no cash machines on site, so please consider this ahead of time.
Dogs
Except Assistance Dogs, dogs are not allowed to enter the racecourse. In the interests of animal welfare, no dogs are permitted to be left in cars and Windsor Racecourse politely request that all dogs are left at home.
