Previewing Monday the 1st of September’s racing action from Royal Windsor racecourse is none other than racing legend, Derek ‘Tommo’ Thompson. Courtesy of our friends at Freebets.com, the number one place to find betting sites, read Tommo’s fancies below.

It's an early evening start, 4:30pm and in the first, it's a nice little race this. I like number two Flying Comet. I think it's got a good chance here. Does have a lot of weight of 9 stone 10, but I think it's going to take the beating.

He was fifth of 14 in a £100,000 race at Deauville in France last time out. Now he's dropping back to a nursery at Windsor, £10,000 for the winner. I know he's got plenty of weight, but he's got Oisin Murphy on board and I think after that run last time I don't think he's worried about the ground. Number two Flying Comet will hopefully fly home.

A horse I find interesting, number four Jungle Monarch. Karl Burke sends this horse down from his very powerful stable at Middleham in Yorkshire. And remember Karl Burke has had more 2-year-old winners than any other trainer this year.

Liverpool Star, Mick and David Easterby send this bottomweight down with Joanna Mason on board. But I think number two Flying Comet can fly home in the first.

In the five o' clock, the Novice Stakes over six furlongs number one Lodge won well at Ffos Las and I think will probably take the beating again, ridden by Billy Loughnane and trained by Brian Meehan.

Number six Neyva's Angel was a close third of six at Yarmouth on the debut and number seven Sapphire Princess has been knocking at the door. Second at Ayr, with Ollie Sangster, the trainer, Jamie Spencer, the jockey, but number one Lodge should be number one.

In the following race, there's a horse I like here that comes down from Charlie Johnson's stable. He sent out over 100 winners so far this year and in the 5:30pm, number 7 Explosion I think has got a great chance.

A horse I think has got a good chance in the six o'clock, the mile and a half handicap. The bottomweight number nine Byblos, he was third at Newbury. He's trained by John and Thady Gosdon who have a 26% strike rate at the moment.

He's getting weight from all his rivals and he's by that great horse Frankel, you know, the unbeaten and one of the greatest stallions of all time. So, number nine Byblos. I'd be very surprised if that doesn't win the six o'clock at Windsor on Monday night. Enjoy!
